blues and come sing a song of Long Island PRIDE here.
Roll out those Lesbian-zy, Bi/Trans-zy, Gay-zy days of

once you see us in 2003 you'll wish that you spent all
your PRIDE summers right here! HIP HIP HOORAY! LONG ISLAND
PRIDE IS HERE... YEAH!
Well
kids it's June and there are so many PRIDE happenings to
report on. I can't believe another year flashed right before
my eyes. Where has the time gone? And I'm still single!
Oh well, this year's PRIDE events could actually change
that around for me. I know FABRIZIO got lucky at the Auntie
M's Helping Hands Inc. auction. There I was ready to leave
and all of a sudden I see my chauffeur on stage stripping
down to his skivvies. Well you could have knocked me over
with a feather. I HEARD THAT! I'm losing the pounds, okay
so it was a huge peacock feathered wrecking ball, I still
was knocked over. The bidders went wild. He raised beaucoup
bucks and he is now in bliss-ville and me, well at least
he hasn't left me, yet! Now for the PRIDE doings this month!
Each
night we have a quarrel, it almost breaks my heart, 'cause
I'm so afraid that we will have to part each night I
ask the stars up above why must I be a teenager in love?
OH those crazy LIGALY kids!
That's
right, it's prom night once again at LIGALY (Long
Island Gay and Lesbian Youth).
This article is coming out today and by now you all know
the
Prom is tomorrow, June 7th. It is LIGALY's 3rdAnnual
event, at West Lake Inn, from 7 PM to midnight and the
kids have a blast! I attended last year and was treated
like a Queen... well, they know better... Princess Priscilla
just won't do! They booked the ever-fabulous Drag DIVA
extraordinaire, my soul sister... MIRKALA CRYSTAL!
She is simply divine! Reports on this fabulous event will
be posted in July. Oh, I can't wait to tell you how much
fun our youth have at this safe event. The LIGALY staff
should be commended for hosting such a momentous occasion
in the lives of GLBT youth! You rock LIGALY!
Before
Long Island PRIDE parade passes by, before it goes on
and only PRIDE streamers are left. Before Long Island
PRIDE parade passes by, I've got to get in step while
there's still time left. I'm ready to move out in front,
life without PRIDE has no reason or rhyme left. With
the rest of them, with the best of them, I want to hold
my PRIDE up high. I need a goal again, I need a drive
again. I want to feel my PRIDE heart coming alive again.
Before Long Island PRIDE parade passes by... (I'm crying
kids, it's so Barbara!) Before Long Island PRIDE parade
passes by, I've got to go and taste Saturday's high life.
Before Long Island PRIDE parade passes by, I've got to
go get some things from OUT IN SAYVILLE's event into
my life. I'm ready to move - out in front, I've got the
bust so I've had enough of just passing by life. With
the rest of them, with the best of them, I must hold
my PRIDE up high. For I've got a goal again, I've got
a drive again. I want to feel my heart coming alive again,
I will always be in Huntington... so Long Island PRIDE
knows I wave my PRIDE HIGH! YEAH!
We have
a new PRIDE event this month. The premiere of OUT IN
SAYVILLE takes place on June 7th... so much
happening this weekend it's staggering! Anyway, all the
fuss and bluster about this event just makes me sit back
and scream! I want to yell at all of you... what's your
beef! There is room in PRIDE MONTH for many, many events
and this one looks like a dream. So if you get this article
before the 7th of June, head on down to Main
Street in Sayville and shop till you drop. A portion of
the stores' proceeds go to support some worthy GLBT non-profits.
There are parties afterwards but dearies head on over to
any of your local watering holes that weekend and they
all will have such FABOO Pride weekend bashes! Just do
not drink and drive... PLEASE! We need you around for PRIDE
2004!

DOINGS - LONG ISLAND
PRIDE PARADE COMMITTEE HAS A FABULOUS
DAY PLANNED FOR YOU!
Rally
in the parking lot at noon features politicos and others
who need to pump up the marchers, pump up the marchers!
Then they have some lovely entertainment planned LADY
IVANA (MISS GAY PRIDE LONG ISLAND 2003) and then there
is A BITE OF BROADWAY doing a number from "RENT" and
so much more. HOSTESS WITH THE MOSTESS MISS ARIEL
SINCLAIR takes you through the Festival In The Park
shindig! You got Monica Storm, Delfina Best and Dallas
Capri and others Moulin Rouge-ing it OUT! They have
a faboo rock band known as Sister Funk as well as
annual favorite PANDORA'S
VOX. The headliner comedian
is from recent appearances on My Wife & Kids as well
as Will & Grace, he is none other than out comedian, JASON
STUART! Hungry for more? Speaking of food... MORE
FOOD VENDORS THAN EVER IN LONG ISLAND PRIDE'S 13-YEAR HISTORY!
YEAH! Kids, these hard working gals and guys from Long
Island Pride just make me want to hug them all and say
a hearty THANK YOU and so should you! They work hard all
year long to host this fabulous event and I think they
deserve a ROUND OF APPLAUSE!

FLASH... HOT OFF THE PRESSES... GLBT NON-PROFIT EXCLUSIVE
TO PRISCILLA PRIDE... OOOHH!
If
you've been out and about kids, you've seen the "PROTECTING
OUR COMMUNITY" campaign sponsored by GALFOLI (Gay
and Lesbian Foundation of Long Island), hosts
of the summer
event of the season -
DOCK OF THE BAY! This year it's Sunday, August 17th and
their website, www.galfoli.org tells
all about the event. But these wonderful guys and gals
took their commitment one step further, they talked the
talked but most importantly they walked the walk. There
is a safe-sex condom campaign started and GALFOLI did it
and is committed to keeping this one ongoing for our Long
Island GLBT community. They told me they will be sending
some packets off to the Lesbian bars as well which will
include dental dams, they are just awaiting the manufacturer's
shipment. These cuties are so dedicated to protecting our
own that they just amaze us all each year with their efforts.

OF THE BAY or heard about it...
one question for you...What, you live under a rock? Please,
don't miss it this year! More fun, more food, more auction
mania and raffle mania and other mania are planned! So
be there or be left out of the best event of the summer
season benefiting our Long Island GLBT community!
